    Pathetic! First we followed the town centre signs which took us to the library. The Tourist Information Centre hasn't been there for months. A poster told us it had moved to the Town Hall, but didn't give directions. Oddly enough, being tourists we didn't know our way there. I tried ringing the number on the poster. First try went to a "user busy" message, two more attempts and a recorded message tried to get me to enter a prize draw by spending time answering questions. No thanks! Then the message cut me off without connecting me. We toiled up the hill and found the right place, which turned out to be a miserably sparse set of leaflets on a counter and one young man who was on the phone for several minutes. When we finally got some attention (two passing members of staff couldn't help with Tourist Information) our enquiry about a town trail was met with a skimpy stapled together booklet at a vastly overpriced ВЈ3. No thanks! Frome is a lovely town, but it is sadly ill served by its tourist information centre
